How To Survive In UNN:
Soon, many of you here will become lions and lionesses and its good for you to know few tricks and ways of surviving in the Den. Some of you are already lions and lions but lack the info and ways of surviving in the Den, some of you also believe they already know. You may never know all.

For those of you who have seen their results and its obvious they will soon become lions and lionesses, have the following in mind:
- Start buying flat and free footwares because you have a lot of trecking to make; ask those who have gone for GS lectures how it looks like.
- Start learning how to endure hunger because the way you eat at home will definitely change when you enter school; even if you have the money with you, you may not have the time or the chance to eat because of the nature of the timetable.
- Start learning how to eat junky food like snacks such as biscuits, chin-chin, meatpie, minerals, etc because that's what you can easily see on your way to lectures and close to you.
- The weather in Nsukka is very funny; nothing is moderate. It gets too cold when it wants to get cold and it gets too hot when it wants to get hot. So, mind the kind of wears you will start buying and gathering.
- Try as much as you can to live in the hostel, its better and saver by all means than offcamp. You will be motivated to be reading when you see your room mates reading, there is always water, there is always electricity, there is also security inside the campus. You don't need to spend on transport to go to school because most of the hostels are close to lecture halls and rooms except few hostels.
- If you want to survive in the Den, keep whatever you think you are at home there, UNN doesn't care if you are from a rich or a poor family, UNN doesn't care if you are the last born or the only child, UNN doesn't care if you are SS or asthmatic.
- Start learning how to save money or else you will become a begger in school.
- Start learning how to be self-disciplined. Nobody is there to advice you to read your books, nobody will force you to go to lectures, nobody will force you to do your assigment, nobody will force you to go to church, how you make your bed, so shall you lie on it.
- Be wise, don't be cajoled into any form of silly acts like gay acts, cultism, etc. Many have been marred and none has been saved or benefitted from such acts.
